Kinemo Tracers are wearable motion sensors that detect intentional body movements for use with Kinemo access solutions. When connected to a Kinemo controller, a Tracer enables access to AAC devices, power wheelchair functions, nurse call systems, environmental control units, and other compatible assistive technology. This same access method can also support the use of everyday technology, including computers, tablets, and smartphones.

Designed to adapt to each person's unique abilities, Tracers can be positioned on any body part with reliable voluntary movement, allowing customized access methods tailored to individual needs.

Kinemo Tracers are accessory sensors designed for use exclusively with compatible Kinemo controllers. A Kinemo One or Kinemo Connect controller is required for operation.

Do I need adhesive stickers?

Yes. Adhesive stickers are required to mount a Tracer on the body.
Stickers are sold separately and can be purchased through our Adhesive Stickers product page.

Can a Tracer be used by itself?

No. A Tracer must be connected to a compatible Kinemo controller. Tracers are designed exclusively for use with Kinemo One and Kinemo Connect controllers.

What Tracer length should I choose?

Kinemo Tracers are available in three cable lengths:

  • Short - 8 in (20 cm)
  • Regular - 1.5 ft (45 cm)
  • Long - 3 ft (91 cm)

Choosing a Tracer Length

Available in three cable lengths to support different mounting locations

Selecting the appropriate length helps ensure comfortable cable routing while reducing excess cable.

Short - 8 in (20 cm)

Best when the Tracer is positioned close to the controller, such as hand and finger access with a wrist-mounted controller, or foot access with ankle-mounted controller.

Regular - 1.5 ft (45 cm)

Recommended for head, face, shoulder, and upper arm access with controller worn around neck or on the arm. Also ideal for foot access with controller worn above the ankle.

Long - 3 ft (91 cm)

Ideal for finger access with neck-worn controller, or foot access with controller mounted on the upper leg. Also useful for setups where controller is placed on external mounting equipment.
