What Mounting Option Should I Use?

The best mounting option depends on which body part you plan to use and where you want to wear your controller. Neckwear, straps, and clips make it possible to position Kinemo Connect where your movements are most comfortable and reliable. See the Accessories section for more guidance. 

How Many Tracers Do I Need? 

The number of tracers you need depends on your intended use. At least one tracer is required, and up to three tracers can be used simultaneously. Each tracer can be assigned different controls and configured in multiple ways to create a personalized access solution.

We recommend discussing your needs with your assistive technology professional or our team. Based on your intended use, we can help identify how many tracers you need and where they should be placed.

Can I Use More Than One Body Part? 

Yes. Kinemo Connect can be configured so gestures from different body parts perform different control functions. For example, one body part can move a pointer or joystick, while additional gestures can be assigned to clicking, selecting, scanning, or switch control.

Can I Control Multiple Switch Receivers?

Yes. Kinemo Connect can communicate wirelessly with one or more compatible wireless jack receivers. This makes it possible to create a cable-free multi-switch setup using a single wearable controller.

Kinemo Connect is designed to be worn on the body, allowing you to place the controller near where your movements are most comfortable, reliable, and sustainable. The best mounting option depends on which body part you plan to use and where you want to wear the controller.

Neckwear 

  • Best for head, face, and neck movements 
  • Keeps the controller comfortably positioned around the neck

Strap 

  • Best for the finger, hand, wrist, forearm, upper arm, foot, ankle, or leg 
  • Securely attaches the controller to the body 
  • Can also be used to mount the controller to a wheelchair armrest, frame, bed rail, tray, or other external support when body mounting is not preferred

Recommended Strap Sizes 

  • Extra Small: Designed for a child's wrist or adults with small wrists 
  • Small (6-8 in / 15-20 cm): Ideal for the wrist or forearm 
  • Medium (8-13 in / 20-33 cm): Recommended for the forearm, upper arm, ankle, or calf 
  • Large (13-23 in / 33-58 cm): Best for the upper arm, thigh, or around the knee

Control Switch-Enabled Devices Wirelessly

Use Kinemo Connect as a wireless replacement for traditional mechanical switches such as pushbuttons, clickers, and other switch-based inputs. Kinemo Connect does not require a jack port on the controller itself.
